I finally had the opportunity to photograph the house even though its not 100% finished. I figured better late than never, and it just so happens to be decorated for Halloween, so that makes it look more finished than it is. We have not had the chance to decorate and furnish the place like I want and we only have our old furniture that we brought from Arizona, none of which looks right in this house so most of it is for sale on Craig’s list if you are interested (ha).

I replaced all the inside hollow core doors with salvaged real wood doors and installed vintage hardware and glass knobs.

And because I really hated generating all of that trash, I wanted to reuse as many things as I could. I reused all the kitchen cabinets, sanded and painted them and gave them new knobs and now they are in my laundry area being used as storage.
I reused this mirror that was in the vanity
We kept some of the shutter style doors, repurposed them in the house, donated all of the old appliances to Habitat for Humanity and everything else that could not be recycled was put on the curb and taken by people.
So that brings our remodel to an almost end. Now we just have the fun of working out all the “new” house things, oh the joys of owning a house… I hope you enjoy seeing this transformation much as we did.
That’s an amazing transformation.
Thanks.
I love everything, but didn’t see the Barn Door picture. You did an amazing job.
Yep, I forgot that one.
Wow, I can’t believe how amazing it looks!!
Thanks, I hope you get to see it in person soon!
Wow! It looks so much more open and nice! You have good taste. My favorite transformation was the master bath.
Thank you.
It looks so amazing!
I was going to say it looks amazing, but somebody beat me to it. You two really did a great job.
